Great North Road by Peter F. Hamilton

                                 DNF: 26% (253 pages)

I feel like a quitter, but I'm setting this one aside. While there are some portions that have promise, as a whole it's been excruciatingly slow. The story is filled with extraneous details and multiple POV characters that are flat and uninteresting. It all feels as if it's being drawn out needlessly, making the 976 page count seem like overkill.

I've heard great things about this author so I won't give up on him, but I am giving up on this story.
